This program features three duets and a full-length symphony
Vivaldi, Concerto for 2 Cellos in G minor (Isabel Lau, Benjamin Luo, cello)
High-school-age cello prodigies Lau and Luo are our 2009-2010 Debut Artists and will perform Vivaldi’s dramatic Double Cello Concerto in G minor.
Honegger, Concerto da Camera (Tod Brody, flute; Peter Lemberg, English horn)
The Orchestra's principal flautist Tod Brody and principal oboist Peter Lemberg (guesting on English horn) collaborate on the colorful, dynamic Concerto da Camera (1948), by Arthur Honegger.
Justen, Concerto for Violin and Cello (Gloria Justen, violin; Eric Gaenslen, cello)
WORLD PREMIERE! Orchestra violinist Gloria Justin will lead the debut of her string-section duet with principal cellist Eric Gaenslen.
Haydn, Esterhazy Symphony No. 77 in B-flat Major
"Double Sevens" is a masterpiece from Haydn's Esterhazy years.
