The Empress Management Group (EMG) was created in April, 2004. Its job was to investigate the potential of the Empress Theatre as an additional program of the Vallejo Community Arts Foundation and subsequently to oversee the development and renovation of, and management and operation of the Empress Theatre.
The Group is made up of a mixture of Foundation Board members and other community leaders with skills and experience in marketing, business, facility management, finance, and fundraising.
This key group of people, along with the hired staff, work tirelessly to ensure the Empress is a long-term viable success. Members of the Group and its sub-committees are not compensated for their time and participation.
